As telephonically discussed the manager followed me to the next store to grab the PNA Linton corners trolley from me. She said I wasn't allowed to use the trolley outside of PNA after purchasing stationary to the value of R895 but needed to find another trolley from Discem/ Pick&Pay. All of this while it was pouring with rain and all I wanted was to get my envelopes etc to the car with the least water damage as possible. I then asked to return my purchases and be credited. I was then informed that the amount would be paid back in 14 days!!!
There were 30 unused trolleys in the store, 5 members of staff standing around, and no other customers that time of the morning.
Could someone inform management, Florence, the trolleys are for the use of the customers... as she clearly does not know or understand this.
Fortunately an attendant at the Unique store came to the rescue with a large trolley and umbrella.
I assume that the amount will be paid back with interest???
As yet I have not had an email from the franchise owner or untrained manager.
One would think that after having to close so many stores country wide just a few years ago HEAD OFFICE would be keen to not make the mistakes of the past. It all begins and ends with good customer service... I am happy never to buy there again and rather to go to Hazeldean. The image below shows the row of unused trolleys... perhaps staff were expecting a sudden surge of customers on this, early rainy Monday morning??
