I deposited money (1200) into my standard bank account at a SOUTHGATE ATM at 8.15 on a saturday morning. I then received a ATM slip reflecting the amount and the balances. I queried this with the branch manager whi advised that the money reflects after being treated like an utter fool. A few days thereafter i received a notification stating that 500 rand was deposited into my account and the 1200 was reversed. I then logged a query with the call center with no joy. Now the call center team leader tellsme that there was only R500 deposited! What happened to the rest of the R700??? For a big bank like standard bank that might seem like change, but for the average working folk that money was accounted for! My debit orders are due to go off tonight and because of this banks service they will be dishonoured! I will never advise any one to bank with this incompetent bank!!!
