HUGE INCREASE IN PREMIUM AFTER ONE CLAIM

Hi, I have one concern that I would like to raise with regards to the pricing. I have had 2 vehicles on my policy up to last month (a toyota tazz and a toyota corolla 1.6). I have only claimed once for a chip repair which was in any case not neccasary since the inspector said that it cannot spread and thereafter nothing was done to fix it. My risk profile has not changed at all since I took out the policy apart from this incident. Last month I sold the toyota corolla (91/92 model) and purchased a similar car in a 93 model (exact same shape) and when enquiring about the premiums I have noticed that they have now gone up by roughly 35% in comparison to what I was paying previously which I feel is really heavy. I would really be disapointed if the reason for this kind of an increase is due to me claiming for a small chip repair. I understand that the new car I intend covering is slighly newer but a 35% increase in price? I am a client of Miway and at the same time I really love the service but would like some clarity on this issue and if possible I would really appreciate it if a slighly better premium can be negotiated in line with what I was previously paying.
