I would like to thank Danita De Witt from Discovery Health for opening my eyes. I used to think Discovery is great, but after the poor service she provided I started phoning around and checking up on all my Discovery products. I found that Discovery insure charges me R300 (45%) more per month than Outsurance for the same product. The excess funder account is also a farce - I will get about R10 discount per month even though there is already R7000 in that account. It used to be a good deal before, but Discovery changed their rules after duping customers in joining them - you now have to insure your household goods with them as well to get better benefits. I phoned Discovery back and they said I need to e-mail another department to possibly get discount. Honestly, I basically told them I will be leaving the company and they request that I do the effort to e-mail someone else to get discount?! Outsurance will gladly accept my bussiness right there and then. No phoning around or e-mailing other people. Outsurance will do the effort for you. I think Discovery maybe got too big and lost sight of giving their customers good personal service.
