I took out short term insurance in February with this company and paid premiums diligently witch of course they accepted eagerly only to find out when I submitted a claim that I was not insured because I was uninsured for more than 39 days few years ago when I did not even have a car. They said they gave me a non claim bonus so the amount that I paid was wrong therefor they will not pay my claim. In effect I was UNINSURED for all the time and if this incident did not happen they would have continued to take my money and kept me under the false impression that I was in fact insured. Why did the not communicate it to me in the first place and only when they had to pay. What would have happened if the car was written off, who would pay then. They said they would send me a letter stating why the claim was rejected and that I would be able to appeal but did not receive anything as yet. I was furious at the time and asked them to stop the policy with immediate effect, witch they replied to without hesitation because they have the money I paid in and it is pure profit for them. I had to phone the claims depart about six times leaving messages etc. before they eventually came back to me.
