I cancelled all ABSA accounts and ABSA credit card more than 1 year ago. Out of the blue Yolandi from ABSA card division JHB called on 19 August to reprimand me for not paying and amount of R1624.58 due by me. I requested documentation per e-mail because I know nothing about this and never received a statement for this, in fact for more than 1 year never used the card. When I received nothing, I phoned again. She promised to request documentation again. Today I receive a demand for payment in the post. This warning again has no indication for what service this payment should be. I called all the numbers indicated, all ending a a call centre requesting my card number which was cut up a year ago. I cannot find somebody to talk to!
