Last week I had a call from African Bank and was offered a loan. I decided to take up the offer and was told to go to my nearest branch so that it could be processed. I have 3 other loans as well as a credit card that's up to date with payment. I have never once faultered from my payments and African Bank has been debiting my account for the past 2 years. When I got to the bank, a young lady told me that African Bank had stopped doing loans for the company that I work for!!! I am an individual, not an entire company! She said that they had a meeting 24 hours before and the African Bank group would not be able to grant me this loan. Why did they call me in the first place??? I have a good mind of stopping my R4500 debit order, then they'll have good reason to deny me. False promises and false hope is what they advertise for! Pathetic service and imcompetent staff!!
