I opened an Elite Cheque account at your Sandton branch on the 18th May 2013. On the 23rd of May 2013, I received an sms to collect my card at the branch. Instead of being issued a Gold Card, I was issued an Achiever Plus card - Hello!!! If my memory serves me correct, I applied for an Elite & not Achiever Account. Furthermore, yesterday I enquired at your Traderoute Mall branch whether they can connect me with their Sandton branch so I can get this issue resolved - I was informed by the receiptionist (without looking up the account) that Standard Bank have decided to issue me with the Achiever account due to my poor credit record.?? how dare she tell me about credit record when she did not even call up the account. Furthermore, my debit orders still need be switched but I was not even asked or given an form to sign. So here's the thing - I need a prompt response from a qualified person at Standard Bank to get this mess sorted out or Standard Bank can notify me to take my monies which i've already deposited and take it somewhere else since they dont need me as a client.
