My debit card was at an atm, immediately I phoned std bank to report it, this was the 31st April. I went onto my account via internet on the the 2nd to make sure that this account was stopped. There was R1000 withdrawn from my account on the 1st. I went into the bank to ask them what I must do. I had to phone the fraudline from the bank to lodge a query. I''ve received a ref nr. They said it will take 10 to 15 working days for an outcome. I phoned them a few times and have ref nrs to proof it. When phoned on the bank 13th of May they said that I need a new ref nr, the other one is too old? Got a new one, phoned on the other17th, they said that I must wait another 10 to 15 days. After a fight I should''ve had a answer by today, which obviously didn't happen. Every time I phone them I have to wait for at least an hour before anyone will help me. This wasn't my fault, they were supposed to stop the card.
