I would like to express my disappointment in which the Manager of Pick n Pay Queenstown Mall.
The argument was on the R100 fruit combo which included Kiwi as I questioned why my bill was not adding up and the teller (Uni) picked up that the combo was paid separate as the kiwi was not programmed to be part of the combo.
She called the manager (Author Dyasi) and he told me that the Kiwi was not part of the combo, I showed him the red sticker and told him it was even on their advertisement.
The tone and the manner he was addressing me was harsh and rude, I then requested that we go to the Frit and Veg Department so I could show him. He spoke in a rude manner to the employee to such that I even requested of him to please shop for me the R100 items as per advertisement.
He made a show and called on the lady that was arranging flowers that it shouldn't be like that and I was not going to get the combo inclusive of that Kiwi.
We went to the teller and I told him he must not speak to me in such a manner and I wanted to escalate as I felt he was being disrespectful and asked for the manager and I was told he was the manager, I asked for his name and with an attitude he refrained from giving me his name as he was not wearing his name tag and replied in Xhosa saying "Ndinguye! " (I am me! ).
The teller reprimanded him subtly but he was causing a scene and I requested for someone supperior.
Chris who is apparently the store manager came and I was called to the Office, I told him what had happened and he told me he would investigate took down my number and told me he would call me back, which he did. On his call he apologised on behalf of the store and humbly accepted his appology and expressed that I would like for the person in inquiry to call me as a client and apologise for his actions and I called back and expressed to Chris that I am gave him a till 13h00pm and he did not call and apologise for his ill doing or else I will escalate cause I felt if it was any other person of colour he wouldn't have treated them in the same manner.
I am profusely disgusted by Author Dyasi for tarnishing the reputation of Pick n Pay which is family store, for him to have the audacity to belittle me in front of his juniors and undermine yet I am a Customer.
I feel Chris didn't respond to this matter in a fair as he was trying to maintain peace yet not disciplinary measure for his rude colleague.
I am EXTREMLY and UTTERLY DISGUSTED by him!
