My son purchased a Sara Spa Voucher for me from Groupon for Christmas for R1, 000.. I had until June to redeem it and decided to book for my daughter and I to have a morning's treatment. When I called the number on the voucher I was told that they had gone out of business and to call Groupon for a refund. I have called them three times. The first time they tried to persuade me to take another of their options to which I responded that we wanted the refund in cash, they said my son should send through his banking details which he did. When nothing further happened I called on Friday and was told that the money had been deposited into his account and of course you guessed it nothing happened! This morning I called again as this time they asked for my e-mail address and said they would be in contact with me by e-mail... and nothing happened. Surely this should be looked into by SA Consumer Council as we need protection against this. because its basically.
