I have been incorrectly billed on my data usage for an entire 2 year period. I informed MTN about the mistake and they sorted out the problem for the past 6 months by giving me a credit for the incorrectly billed amount. They also informed me that they will not be able to look further back than 6 months into the account. I did express my dissatisfaction with this and asked them to look back further. I have not received a single response back on this.
I am sure that if I owed them money for longer than 6 months that they will be able to prove exactly what I owe them. But in this case they are unable to look into the billing history as they will owe me money.
