I was approached by tele-sales rep. Zubayr Bux in Jan 2013 to upgrade my mobile from Nokia to Samsung Pocket, I was hesitant at first as I had many problems with the Nokia contract but the rep., assured me that it would not cost me a cent more than R138-00p.m. and benefit from the Samsung. I explained that I am A pensioner & could definately not afford more than R138-00p.m., he assured me that I would only pay R138-00 p.m. with no hidden costs. Last week I was debited with R563-70 resulting in my a/c being overdrawn, now the bank is unhappy & so am I. I contacted Tarryn (very helpful) at 8ta., explained that this once off cost was not relayed to me when accepting the contract and as I am a pensioner can not afford this. Tarryn stated she would pass the message onto the department concerned & request a refund, to-date I have heard nothing from 8ta & not received a refund. I definately won't recommend 8ta and certainly wo'nt have any more dealings with 8ta, as I was given the tele-sales rep., private ph. number, tried contacting him at least 7 times plus emailing him but to no avail. 8ta staff say they don't have any contact with the tele-sales staff, how does this work?
