I ended up cancelling my account with Telkom after having to fight with them to sort out a mistake that they made. I applied for a 4 Meg Internet line and they only activated a 1 Meg line. When I asked them to fix it, I was told to apply for a 4 Meg line and they told me that the activation should not take more than 3 working days. IT TOOK 2 WEEKS AND I ENDED UP CANCELLING MY ENTIRE SERVICE DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCE SHOWN IN RESOLVING MY PROBLEMS. I spent virtually every day on the phone (R600.00 in cell phone costs) trying to get them to resolve my problems. I went from being told by a technician that my Telkom router was faulty (it works perfectly) to being told that my ISP was IBURST when Telkom was my ISP. To get them to fix this appeared to not be in their capability. I am so tired of poor service delivery in this country. Thank you Telkom for the poor service. You have lost a customer for life, but then, I don't think you care as all my complaints fell on def ears.
