Charged R800 when contract expired

2 weeks ago I asked that my contracts be cancelled when the 24 month period was over. The 24 months ended at the end of June 2013.

I received confirmation from the agent Ash Osman that 2 of my contract was ending on the 24'th of June and the other 2 was ending on the 27'th of June. I was given reference number 5996729 and told that the service on the 4 sims would stop working on the specified dates.

On the 3'th of July I received my statement and I was charged R800 cancellation fee per contract.

I called the call centre today (3rd of July 2013) to find out why I was charged a cancellation fee. The agent by the name of Judith said she didn't know why and had to escalate it to the back office. I was given reference 6382203.

This is obviously a mistake, but how does this happen? it seems like a simple process.

This is such an inconvenience because I have to spend my time trying to fix this problem with you.
