Hi I am a resident in Protea South, Soweto have been for the last 4 years. The Problem we are dealing with this side is of power outages caused by illegal connections from our shack neighbours. The thing is almost everyday we have no electricity and when we report to eskom they just come have a look and just leave. It's very frustrating that our electrical appliances get damaged, food in the fridge gets spoiled. Eskom should really take major interest in this issue. Week in and week out we are bombarded with advertising campaigns to report illegal connections, we do that but nothing is done. Can we have a representative come forward and spend a day this side and see what we go through on a daily basis.
