Advert in the Caxton (Fourways Review) Jan 29 2014. Advertises Chevrolet Utility 1.4 Base with A/C for R117 995* . Asterisk refers to terms at the bottom of advert which state the following: License and registration fees excluded. All offers subject to finance approval etc. I called JP Botha at the dealership and he confirmed that price includes VAT. He sent me a quote that shows the price at R117 995 excl Vat. I called the dealership and his sales manager was of no assistance. The CMH group has advertised falsely and I believe in order to intentionally catch people out. No where in the advert does the price indicate that it excludes VAT. To my understanding that is against required advertising practices. I expect the CMH group to follow through with their adverting. I am disappointed at the underhanded and dishonest manor at which the CMH group operates.
