This pet store keeps albino hedgehogs and when we saw them they were severely injured (no paw on one poor creature, lots of ears bitten off and other serious bite wounds). When brought to the shop assistants attention, his reply was "These animals, they fight all the time", shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I brought it to the manager's attention that the animals need to be separated (to not fight) and medically treated urgently. The blood from the wounds seemed to be at least a day old so these poor things were just left like that to get on with it and suffer in silence.
