Sizwe Medical Fund
Old people

Mr Oswald Olinsky's premium has gone from R3 728.00 on 01/12/2013 to R5 830.00 on 01/01/2014 which is an increase of R2 102.00
He received a letter dated 08/11/2013 requesting proof of income to be sent and should these proofs not be received by 10/12/2013 that he will automatically be defaulted to the highest income bracket.
Mr Olinsky tried contacting the call Centre on several occasions to try and resolve this issue. Please refer to call centre reference numbers:
8311890 on 02/12/2013
8332501 on 12/12/2013
8369445 on 20/01/2014 - spoke to Portia
1574580 on 21/01/2014 - call conducted by me personally
He also spoke to Fello on 08/01/2014 who told him to fax the documents to 011 522 5203 as the fax line 011 353 0267 remained engaged for a long period of time.
Despite confirmation that the proof of income had been received, that the the premium will be adjusted and that a refund will be done (22/01/2014 8354754), another debit order at the higher rate has come off.
This is an old retired couple who have been left with NO MONEY to get by.
When asked what will be done we get told that processed need to be followed, that there is a backlog and no timeline of resolution can be given.
