My wife's Gyne, adviced her to go on the Mirena, because all the pills on the market does not work for her body, she than agreed to go for the Mirena, this had to be done in the Gyne room, the Gyne had tried to put the Mirena in, but there was complications, the docter said he cannot do it in the room, this has to be done in the Hospital's surgery room. We tried to get Authorisation, but they have declined it twice. We haven't skipped one payment, and this is the first Authorisation we are trying to get, and yet they decline this. We have full hospital plan also, so this should cover anything that needs to be done in hospital. So what does this medical aid want to do, not get this procedure done and my wife gets pregnant again, so then they can keep on paying over R30 000 estimated every year for pregnancy, or get the Mirena done. I will be closing my medical aid with bestmed if this is not resolved, and will gladly move back to Discovery, I have not had one problem with Discovery for 10 years.
