My family recently bought a 5.1ch samsung home entertainment system in December 2013. Not even two months have gone by and we are a facing a problem from the dvd player which constantly displays the word 'PROTECTION' when we switch it on and automatically switches off. This has made the dvd completely unusable and a complete pain as it is still new.
On the first encounter of the problem which started this month January 2014, I searched for answers on the internet and trying all the suggested solutions such as checking our cabling, removing dust and heavy objects frm the dvd player. None seem to work with even some people stating we should take it for repairs or simply get a new one (No possible solution).
Our problem is getting a new one would solve the issue as this home entertainment system is already new and with such unsolvable issues I have even suggested to my family to never buy a samsung home appliance ever again as it is not a good product in this instance.
I am talking to u now with the problem still occuring and I once again moved the speakers and dvd else where in hopes of solving the solution.
