Contracted with him to do major house renovations for us in Alberton. Started off okay and as we built trust he asked for more and more money in advance. Towards the end of the job (which coincided with a major holiday), he left for the holiday and then failed to return. Some weeks later he made contact, said he was willing to complete the job but that he had no money to pay his workers so the job couldn't proceed. Many times since he has promised to arrive for work but never does. We are left with unbelievably poor tiling work that in some rooms is only half done, in other rooms is so poorly laid that we most likely need to lift the tiles and redo them. We have 3 rooms that leak every time it rains, and an incomplete outside patio area. We have been cheated out of good money and now have to fork out additional money to complete the agreed work. He doesn't respond to any phone calls or text messages. We've come to realise our big mistake was to assume he is a professional and will closely supervise his workers. Dont make this mistake, he cannot be trusted with your money, lacks the necessary foresight, and in the end is a major flight risk. He is Zimbabwean with work permit in RSA.
