we took my wife's car for a service at Renault Northcliff. I took a day's leave as the children had to be dropped off and fetched from school. the headlight switch assembly was faulty, and they were going to replace it.
The car was not ready the evening - Renault northcliff said they confirmed stock from renault Bryanston, but when the driver went to pick it up, it was sold. this means we had to wait another day for the item. I had to make alternative arrangements for transport, so that my wife can use my vehicle.
This would not have happened if renault bryanston sold the parts after stock was confirmed
the big poster in the renault branch with "we will provide you with transport if we struggle to get parts' - only works for vehices still under warranty (it doesnt say that on the poster)
my wife's car doesnt even have 47K on the clock - I dont trust renault if a vehicle's light switch (when driven basically day time only) fails within 47K
My other bad excursion THIS YEAR with renault providing incorrect cambelt parts = being without my wife's car for two weeks.
Buying a renault for my daughter for studies/transport? -
