I have had a Master Card and Prestige Account with Standard Bank for 25 years. When Standard Bank dropped the voyager rewards program and opted for British Airways I notified them that I do not wish to pay and benefit from the BA program. Since then I have never received a rewards statement or any recognition that I am entitled to any air miles.
The UCount program was started and I enrolled a few months ago. I received my UCount card. I also registered on the UCount site. I have watched to see if I will receive any rewards, but until now have got nothing at all.
I contacted the call centre and was told that I have a British Airways Credit Card, and thus I am not entitled to any rewards on the Ucount rewards program. I explained to the call centre agent that I am not actually enrolled in the BA program and I was told that she would escalate my query. I also sent an email query and the reply that I got was that the situation was being investigated.
So the situation is that the Standard Bank system sees me as a BA Card and the BA rewards centre do not see me as such.
Who do I now contact to get my UCount rewards.
I would hate to leave Standard Bank after 25 years
