I got a call from Vodacom Head Office to upgrade my sister's phone about a week and a half ago (around 21 Aug 2013). I was also informed that I wouldn't have to pay the usual admin cost; and that the conversion to a smart chip card would also be gratis. Sadly, I later found out (from a Vodashop) ...
