On Saturday the 26th October me and two friends caught a cab from Clarermont to the Plumstead area. We hailed an excite cab down and got in, besides the driver being quite rude when we got to our destination we were horrified to see the bill of R352.00. I argued with the driver and all he said was that's the price. I threatened to call the office which didn't phase him but before I could get any details he sped off with our R352. When I got inside I looked up the number and when I called I spoke to a lady. I asked how much it would be for that kinda trip and she confirmed the amount which happened to be exactly the amount I was ripped off for. The only problem is she was able to confirm that price before I could even finish my sentence which doesn't gel. When I looked at the website it said the tariff is R9 km and my trip wasn't even 15 km and they charged what they did. After numerous calls and being told to speak to various people Im still sitting with no answers.
