When I picked up return tickets to Dublin, I was informed that we would receive meal vouchers at Dubai on the way back because there was a 10hr stopover and we could use the pay rest lounges at Dubai airport if necessary as I was travelling with my mum. On returning and checking in at Dublin airport, the stewardess asked if we confirmed our hotel bookings, which we knew nothing about. She explained that any flight with a stopover more than 8hrs entitles u to hotel accomadation. She kindly tried to arrange same because of my mum but to no avail as it had to be done 24hrs in advance. Was very upset because 10hrs @ Dubai airport is excruciating and we should have been informed.
