Over the years I complained to my Internet provider about my poor Telkom DSL line quality.
My ISP inform me the quality of the copper line running to my house is measured in db or noise. Several times i logged requests about my internet line connection dropping and was informed the quality of my line is bad and Telkom must improve it by replacing the wires or reducing the distance to the exchange.
I pay line rental for a stable internet connection, which I do not get. On Telkom website they state DSL is best effort service. Sadly there is no other provider of hard/ground internet lines to my home and mobile wireless broadband connection have high latency, which do not cater for my needs.
