My 4 megabit ADSL line started dropping the connection randomly a few weeks back, and I reported it. On 3 occasions, technicians were sent out, and they said cables needed to be replaced. A day or two after each time, I was told the issue had been resolved, but there was no change on the line. I reported it again numerous times, but each time I received a notification saying the line had been tested and was found free of defects, when in fact it was obviously not. All the while the speed dropped more and more, and the disconnecting increased. I am now sitting with a line that drops the connection every few minutes, and when it is connected, the speed is less than 0.8 megabit. And the voice line has so much noise that you can't understand anything on a call. The service is therefore completely unusable, yet I am still paying for it. I have tried escalating the matter, but this has also not helped. Before this incident, my trust in Telkom's abilities had been somewhat restored, but now that has been completely reversed.
