On December 27th 2012, I called and cancelled my ongoing membership (having been a member since 2004), and this was confirmed and done. The lady on the line advised that they can not stop the debit due to the date and that I should reverse or stop at the bank. All of this was done. - Untill April 10th 2013, I had not heard or been e-mailed anything from anyone at Planet Fitness in regards to anything. - On April 10th I received an SMS from a company called SAYA Recoveries, advising they are attempting to collect a debt due to planet fitness. - Since April 10th, I have been dealing with management at Wanderers to no avail. E-mails back and forth, phone calls. They do not reply timeously nor call back as they say they would. - I advised them originally that should they provide a letter advising that matter has been removed from SAYA Recoveries AND a letter of apology from Planet Fitness for the manner in which this had been (mis-)handled, I shall settle [even though am still unsure of the validity of such a matter]. However via e-mails today, I had been advised by the operations management at Wanderers, that I should settle and then they shall process the cancellation. Contact me!!!
