Making their problems yours

Just recently moving from Gauteng to Port Elizabeth, I wanted to sign up with a gym and get into a "healthier lifestyle", so I signed up with them end September beginning of October. Come the 1st of November, my account is debited with R3105.00 - instead of the R345 due. After having to follow up 4 times while they investigate, I am told that this debit was a "system error" and either I can wait 30 days for a refund or I would need to go and cancel the transaction with my bank to get my money back sooner.

I have been with Planet Fitness for 1 month and they can't get a simple debit order right? On top of it all I land up being the schmuck that needs to run around cancelling and sorting out their up in order to get my own money back within a reasonable time - no wonder people opt for Virgin Active, I know for one I will certainly not stay with a "service provider" who simply can't get it right or assure their clients that this error will not happen again.
