I bought Woolworth's Yellow Tail on the Easter Weekend. I cooked and ate it within the sell by and use by date but developed an extreme reaction within 1 hour of eating it. I have never suffered from fish allergy before and have now been told that it was scombroid fish poisoning from fish stored incorrectly. I heard several week's ago that some of the Woolworth's fish was extremely high in histamines and assumed, given this is a real issue, that they would have recalled all the fish that had been contaminated. It appears not. This is extremely disappointing as I nearly always buy my fish from Woolworths but will definitely not be doing so in the future. I did send a note through to them this morning and am still awaiting a response.
