I just went to the Checkers, they advertised on a big note attached to the shelves that the nappies are on promotion for R99.99 a pack. I went to the till to pay (I took 2 packets of 58 nappies) and it was priced at R149.99, the manager came and I told him that on the shelve it says R99.99 for the nappies, it clearly states 58 nappies but he told me I'm wrong and he can take it off the till if I'm not happy with paying R149.99. Its false advertising when something is shown as R99 but they tell me to pay R149. Where it would have cost me R200 for 2 packets it now cost me R300. I told the manager I am going to lay a complaint and he said go ahead. He didn't approach me nicely and had an attitude towards me when I told him that they should then change the poster they have attached to the nappy shelve. I took 3 photos to proof that what I am saying is true. I just find its absolutely unacceptable for me to have paid a higher price for something when it was stated on a poster that it was on promotion.
