I went to every phone shop to look at the possibility of buying the Samsung galaxy s iii mini the cheapest i had found one within Gateway was at Nashua Mobile for R3500, the other shops priced them around R4000, but i was looking to buy the phone there & then cash up front ¬ on a contract. Every store i had been to had said to me that they were not allowed to keep stock of phones that they sold as they must order them upon the agreement of the contract, i was then told that game was the only store who kept stock. When going to Game & discussing the phone with a very helpful sales assistant they confirmed they had stock but then said their price was R5500, upon me saying that this was the highest price i had come across they mentioned that Game has a price beater promotion & if i could prove that a Vodacom competitor had a lower price they would offer me better, i thus produced the brochure i had received from Nashua they said it did not apply as this store did not have it in stock. But none of these other stores are allowed to keep phones in stock, this is a serious lack of transparency & renders all advertising around the "price beater"promotion false & pointless and deceives customers
