I bought a pair of trainer at a Cross trainer outlet in December 2012 on to find that the stitches on the one shoes is coming out, yesterday I went to cross trainer in Clearwater mall to return the shoes i was told that I cannot get my refund as it is against the company policy to give a refund, and all the can do is give me a gift voucher to use it the same shop, which I find ridiculous as I have been offered below the standard quality and now I am forced to come back and buy something else in the same shop, I spoke to a Manager by the name of Nkosi Mdlalose who was extremely rude and told me it's not his problem that the shoes has a defect the company policy does not allow a refunds I must either take the voucher or keep the shoes as it was,
My issue here is that they have a pamphlet on the counter in the shop clearly stating "refunds will only be entertained on items with proven defects" now the question is are they giving us as consumers false information or this is just so we can think that they are complying with the consumer protection act
