Pet food gone bad

I recently bought a bottle of marltons tropical flakes for my pet fish which when I got home had a distasteful smell and was all lumpy and rock hard in the bottle so I thought maybe its the way it comes because it was my first time using their product but when I tried it on my siamese fighter which is alone the next day it was dead there is no other way to explain how horrid and unethical these peoples product is I am horrified and flaberghausted at marltons putting in a label that says bb 08/2015 put the right date next time you guys sell expired products
