I went to TruworthsCresta on 27th Dec to buy clothes I browsed around the shops & found 2 tops & luckily for me one of the tops had a lower obviously a sale price written on the swing tag I proceeded to the till to pay assuming that since the sale price was written on the price tag I would be charged that price however this did not happen. I asked to spk to the manager Karen & she said that the sale only starts the following mon so if I wanted it at that price I would need to come in then to get it I queried this saying that a retailer cannot ethically put 2 prices on a garment & think customers will accept that she then tried to explain away the obvious fault on her side saying they were labeling the sale items now because they would not have time on mon am to do it before the sale started which I again explained does not justify what they have done as it is misrepresentation of prices to the customer. Karen then phoned another 2 area managers who said the same & only when I asked to spk to one of them & explained that they are not legally allowed to do that did she concede & allow me to pay the sale price. I cannot believe that this seems to be an accepted practice at Truworths.
