My brother has an account with russels, the problem is he got retrenched from work and he still owed his account alot of money. He has insurance and was told that inorder for the insurance to clear his account he must pay an amount of R28 000 (arrears) and the debt collector was sent to his place for him to either get the furniture or for my brother to pay that arrears money.

My brother then asked me to pay the money I was incontact with the debt collector and russels and they assured me that when i pay R28 000 the account will be cleared. After i payed that 28 000 I wanted paperwork which states that my brother 's account has been cleared and i did not get that, buit instead I got an answer that the was a problme on the paperwork that my brother submitted and the insurance will not pay

I've been calling russel;s to sort this out but no one is helpfull but the only thing they keep doing is getting someone "new" to phone me asking for the money and i always have to explain the story and no one help the all end up saying"they'll speak to their supervisor and get back to me"... so now russels handed the account over to another company of debt collectors company.
