I purchased an engagement white gold ring at STERNS Green Acres for R7500 which they sized for me. The ring was too big. They said they could resize it, but it would cost R500 as the rhodium plating is expensive. No problem, but then they said that it would have to be re plated every 6 months as the rhodium plating wears off.
The sales people never told us that this ring would have to be maintained on a regular basis. They then offered to return our money. The ring was sent back to the store.
All of a sudden the regional manager phones my fianc? and said that they will not return our money as the sales lady did tell us that the ring would need to be re plated every 6 month. This was definitely not the case. He also threatened to take us to the small claims court. But now I'm sitting with no ring and no money. This ring was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but has turned into a nightmare.
