On the 26th July 2013 I went and did my weekly shopping at Shoprite Milnerton. I had planned a braai that evening as I had 9 ppl over. I bought 3 pkts of chicken value of approx. R102, 4 x Pkts of beef &mutton sausage value R80, 3 x Pkts steak value of R120. When returning home I spiced all the meat and put in the fridge waiting for hubby to get the fire ready. Our friends arrived kept saying that something didn't smell right. I ignored them. Hubby then collected the meat from the fridge and started to braai, obviously sausage first, then chicken and then steak. When finished braaing the smell was so bad that I called my hubby asked if he could smell it & he said yes its the meat. I felt so embarrassed & apologised to my guests. We discovered that the sausage was so badly rotten it almost made me puke. I had spent so much money on this braai and everything was spoilt. In the end I had to spend an additional R400 to feed my guest. I am totally disgusted by shoprite and demand a full refund for my meat as well as the money that I had spent on the pizzas. I do not have the slips as it was thrown away. Nothing could compensate for my embarrassment. Its disgusting and totally unhealthy.
