I bought a Guess handbag for my mother for Christmas in November 2012, she only received the bag on Christmas day and in May told me that the colouring of the handle on the bag is coming off and that the strap was breaking and cracking. This is after she told me earlier in the year that the charm that came with the handbag fell off and after contacting Guess to ask if we could buy another one, I didn't even get reply from them.
I sent her the receipt and she went to the Guess shop in her area and since the 6 month warranty expired a week or 2 before they said they couldn't help her. I feel like both our consumer rights have been violated, we bought something that was suppose to be good quality for R1499, 00 but in the end we bought low quality branded waste for more than it is worth, we feel completely cheated and will never buy from Guess again and I suggest other people shouldn't bother either!
