Terrible service

Went to watch Planes 3D, the movie stopped half way, at no point did anyone from Ster Kinekor approach the customers to explain what was happening. One of the customers came to tell everyone that the movie will carry on in about 10min. Unfortunately 25min later still no movie, no lights were switched on making it very hard to control all the children in the cinema. Again, one of the customers (not an employee) came to inform everyone that the manager wants to see us all outside.
Everyone made a line outside to get issued complimentary tickets to be used at a later stage.
Again, no one was informed what happened.
This was the second day in a row that this happened.
Everyone understands that technology is unpredictable, its the manner in which everyone was treated that was unsettling. Now, at a later stage, we have to drive back to the cinema (fuel), again stand in a line to buy popcorn, juice and sweets (around R50 each) and can't be guaranteed to have an enjoyable experience.
The cinemas are so outdated and the sound is terrible, it breaks my heart to pay R48 a ticket as it is, but R63 for a bad 3D experience is even worse.
Time to upgrade
