I am a DSTV Select 1 prescriber because I cannot afford the Premium option. I watch channels 110/114/117/132/161/181/187. For the past 3 months ALL the Bond movies have been repeated on a DAILY basis on 110. On 117 the same horrendous low budget disaster movies have been showing for over a year! On 114 series' are just stopped without warning that the final episode will be showing and Repeats are shown almost 4 times per day. On 132 double bill programming limits variety & quantity. For this I pay R175 pm thus R525 to see the SAME movies for 3 months. Surely this cannot be seen as quality of service and I find it totally unacceptable for PAY TV! Secondly although Rugby is a National sport ONLY premium subscribers can see the games. Why cant repeats after games be shown on channel 200. This is totally discriminatory that only people whom can afford R800 per month have access to these games which are not even shown on public TV but Soccer is shown continuously. I am at the stage where I will report this complaint to the Broadcasting Complaints Commission. I would appreciate if the Program Manager of DSTV Select 1 can reply to this complaint soonest.
