I'm so so disappointed with Topaz Properties maintenance department who are calling me to inform me that I left the flat very clean and in turn tell me that the bathroom tub was stained, which I told them it was never stained and we were using the tub daily, now I'm being told a company is going there to clean the tub for R650.
This is to my shock, its like this Letting agent is actually making me pay for leaving that place as clean as I left it, when I moved in that place it was as dirty and had to clean all those things up with handy Andy and vim, maybe because I didn't know that I had a right of the agent sending a company to clean a place for me, when the previous tenant moved out without even cleaning or sweeping that place, but you know what I knew this was going to come up as I have never seen an agent paying back the deposit without any sort of such stories.
This is highly unacceptable and feel these Agents just look for ways to rip us off and need the intervention of the Estate Agent Affairs Board to protect us.
