I am looking for an apartment in Johannesburg and responded to one in Sandton. The guy is apparently from London and sent me an elaborate letter about him and his family - obviously winning trust but luckily for me I googled his name and the block of flats and realised that something was amiss. The Block of apartments does exist but for the asking price was ridiculously low. I also googled Private Property TNT and came up with other posts reporting to Private Property that there was a scamster on their site. Before the deal was even closed the listing was "no longer available". He went as far as sending me his bank details for the R11000 deposit with was R5500 for rent and R5500 for a security deposit. He goes by many names but the email address I have is [Email Removed] Private Property did not respond to my email I sent them yesterday afternoon.
