I have been going through a divorce and have moved into a garden cottage which I am renting from Ghini rentals. I have 6 month contract with them. I have recently been transferred and had to take a salary cut. I explained this to the owner and to the Ghini and asked them if they would be able to advertise garden cottage to try to accommodate me by getting out of the contract sooner as I cannot afford it anymore and have to borrow money to cover rent. They merely stated, you will be held responsible for the rest of the contract. It will cost nothing to advertise the property and if they do find someone interessted then allow me to cancel contract... I understand that I have signed contract but this would not cost them anything to try to accommodate me. I even emailed proof of salary to them. To top it all, the cottage is not in the state a rental property should bthe entire 2 bedroom cottage had 2 globes, no curtain railings, broken taps, only half of stove working. solar geyser which is cold half of the time. Previously tenants clothes ect had to be carried out by me and washing maschine of owner still in there! i would reconsider if you are thinking to rent property through Ghini
