We bought a Jeep Wrangler Unltd Sport two years ago and have issues from day one. Bought it from Jeep Vereniging. The vehicle had an uncontrollable left stear, one had to wrestle it to the right to stay on a straight line. Jeep um'd and ah', had no answer and couldn't find a solution. Eventually, after two weeks that they had the vehicle, they said a 'backyard' mechanic in Boksburg (someone they use when they get stuck??!!) had fixed the issue. Sure enough it was
Now 40000km later, the vehicle's steering column is 'fatally danagerous' as Jeep Welkom put it. One cannot buy the parts in SA, so they imported them (vehicle standing for three weeks as we were not 'allowed' to drive it as the mechanic put it..??!!). After charging us R8000 for the new parts and labour, now the vehicle cannot turn to the right AT ALL. We stopped payment, and Jeep do not have answers for us..
I want a new Jeep or all of this must be repaired at no cost at all. It's a DUD and Jeep need to be accountable for this! Terrible excuses coming to light, but no results or answers
