Does not answer the phone

Free annual credit report. One per year, I think not.
I tried to register for my free credit report with experian. Because I had registered many years ago, it would not allow the registration. I had to phone.

I was on hold for 35minutes. Eventually a Carmen came on the line. She told me to re-submit my ID and proof of address and then call back again.

I sent 5 emails with required documents.
I CALLED BACK AND REMAINED ON HOLD FOR 45 MINUTES. I eventually put the phone down as I did not want to get in to trouble with my employer.
THAT 45 MINUTE CALL AND THE PREVIOUS CALL WERE CHARGED CALLS, THEY WERE NOT FREE.
INTERNET ACCESS IS ALSO NOT FREE.

ALL IN ALL - MY FREE EXPERIAN CREDIT REPORT IS CURRENTLY COSTING ME ABOUT R100
AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE A REPORT.

HOW CAN U BE ON HOLD FOR SO LONG?
