On 18 May I went for a dress fitting at Bridal Lane. I paid R150 for this appointment and fitted about 5 dresses. Unfortunately on the day, I found nothing and left empty handed. I sent the owner an e-mail on the 21st of May thanking for her time, and said I would be in contact should I need anything again. She advised me to go to another bridal shop and get back to her if I found something there as she could import the dress at a lower price.
I left it at this. Then on 4 June I was informed by a friend that my name together with my contact details was on a name and shame list that the owner created on her website as well as her facebook page. This was apparently because, I made an appointment and didnt show or I wasted her time.
When I contacted her requesting to remove my details she said she I never got back to her, and that was the reason for her actions. I told her this was unacceptable to which her husband then took the phone and replied, "I will let everyone in this wedding industry know that you waste people's time."
I then got legal advice, and when I threatened her with court action she then responded by saying she would remove my details. No apologyor courteousy
