Tonight I was sitting in the food court waiting for a meal when a security guard came to me and sat by my table. He told me that I was banned from the mall and I am trespassing. I told him that he was mistaken and he asked me if I want him to prove it and I said sure. He then radioed some other guy to print a picture of "me" and he asked me to write down my name and number. He then left and I finished my meal and he still never returned yet so I went to the information desk because I wanted to sort this out. I told the girl at the info desks the story and she then called security and they told her that I should wait there. The same security guard then came and he said that my name didn't match to the name that they have with the picture that they have. He apologies and everything but he still didn't look convinced that it wasn't me. I told him it's okay but this is really upsetting me and it was really embarrassing. I felt like a criminal. I'm sure that this can fall under defamation of character.
